Yes, Kimco Steel Sales Limited is Open to Service the needs of our loyal customers.
We want to announce that Kimco Steel is open and that the Hours of Operations Have Not changed. Please check in with us daily via phone or social media for updates and changes.
Furthermore, there is No Disruption to our Pick-up and Delivery services. During difficult times, it’s important that Kimco does its best to maintain your regular service levels.
We’ll continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation closely as it is a very fluid and evolving virus and we will inform you of any changes as soon as they become available.
What has changed?
All of us are now facing new challenges and unique ways of working during this unprecedented global event.
At this time the following changes have been implemented:
- No Customers allowed in the office (please see our scale attendants)
- We are accepting scrap cars – No appointments necessary
- For any new steel orders, please allow 1-2 days of lead time prior to pickup
- All steel orders must be placed over the phone
Our free metal drop off bin will still be in place for customers to unload their scrap. We will continue to service all of our great accounts who are regular customers at Kimco Steel.
Kimco Steel Sales is doing our best to be socially responsible. We will do everything within our power to ensure that we consider and accommodate employee safety and well-being.
Client Visit & Contact Protocol
Kimco Steel Account Managers are currently required to refrain from physical face-to-face meetings and site visits. They’ll utilize email, phone and other means of technology to communicate and ensure business continuity.
On-Site Facility Safety & Best Practices
Employees who have traveled outside of Canada (or those in contact with someone who has) have been advised that they are immediately to be placed in 14-day self-isolation at home.
Employees who are feeling sick are not permitted to come into the workplace (and are to take appropriate measures to seek medical attention).
High traffic areas such as the cashier booth, door handles and common areas will be disinfected at least three times a day.
Implemented work from home flexibility and increased distance between work stations. No handshakes, respect personal space.
Hand sanitizers have been placed in strategic areas throughout our facilities.
Encourage clients to set up Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) bank accounts
At this time there are NO confirmed cases of COVID-19 at Kimco Steel.
